Roger "Kingpin" Gamble
Roger "Kingpin" Gambles' life centered around his love of bowling. His memorial is inspired by design characteristic of a retro bowling alley. His likeness is artist etched in a 'striking' pose.
In 2017, Roger's memorial was named the Best Small Monument in North America by the American Institute of Commemorative Art.
Ella Carbaugh's memorial is a shimmering example of creativity in headstone design. The memorial forms the shape of a butterfly; its body made of colorful pink and purple glass fused with paintings of Ella's footprints. The iridized glass sparkles in the sunlight. The wings of the butterfly are made of select grey granite.
This memorial is one of many created by Brown Memorials at Magnolia Cemetery in Hartsville, SC.
